Learn and Lunch is a student led organisation working to address campus hunger in Uganda. We treat hunger not as a personal failure, but as a structural challenge within higher education that requires evidence, coordination, and institutional response.

Food insecurity among university students in Uganda is rarely discussed or documented. Many students rely on inconsistent meals, informal coping strategies, or complete meal skipping to survive academic life. Because hunger is normalized and stigmatized, it remains largely invisible to institutions and policymakers. Learn and Lunch exists to challenge this silence by documenting realities, amplifying student voices responsibly, and pushing for systemic solutions.
Learn And Lunch is powered by students and young leaders building ethical, evidence based systems to ensure hunger never limits learning. Through research, student leadership, advocacy, and practical solutions, we work to make campus hunger visible, understood, and addressed with dignity across Ugandan universities.
